This is an extra-special Tunes for Tuesday -- not only is there a new, fun workout song but I get to do a giveaway for a couple of cute pieces of Zumba Wear, and you can also enter a contest to win tickets to a Walk the Moon concert near you and a $75 Zumba Wear gift card.

About that #workthisbody contest

The contest launches Thursday (March 3) and one winner will win two tickets to a Walk The Moon concert in their nearest city and a Zumba Wear gift card worth $75. To enter, you need to share a 15-second dance routine via Instagram or Facebook showing off your favorite moves to Work This Body. Use #workthisbody, and the person with the most likes (either on Instagram or Facebook) will win. The winner will be announced via Zumba’s social channels on March 17.

This guy -- the song came on in the car on the way back from Jazzercise and when I got home I popped in a Zumba DVD and DID. THAT. TOO. To be honest, I did that Jazzercise class at about half-speed so by the time I was done I still had plenty of energy left. So I used it!

Who knew that Zumba creator Beto Perez was a singer? When I sat down to talk to him and told him I was going to focus on the music side of Zumba, his eyes lit up. I talked to him on Saturday morning about this song, a collaboration with Cypriot Zumba instructor and singer Myrto Meletiou. It's an international fusion, something that Beto is passionate about. 

"She’s singing in Greek, I sing in Spanish, the base of the song is hip-hop, and the second base is cumbia -- imagine this crazy combination," Perez said.
